freelancer.com Express Withdrawals in Bangladesh

The Problem

Freelancer.com has depreciated freelancer debit card withdrawal facility, which is payoneer card. That’s a big problem indeed, as i pay my hosting, domain, netflix, chaldal & few more payments through the card. Hopefully i still can withdraw from upwork, thank god.

The Solution

However, Freelancer.com has recently opened express withdrawals in Bangladesh. Glad they did it, otherwise rats would have been eating my money.

Problem Again

I have to tried the express withdrawal recently. However, it seems quite slower & uncertain than upwork’s transfast vendor, who usually loads within a couple of hour.

Freelancer has mentioned, transfer could take 3-5 business days.

We recommend contacting your bank or financial institution to find out how quickly withdrawals are processed. Some institutions may take longer than others. For example, it takes 3-5 business days for withdrawals to be processed in Bangladesh.

But the most important trouble is, they are not able to provide any details of the transaction. So you can’t ask your bank when an unknown transaction will take place.

To a recent inquiry of mine, they have responded with

We understand that you used the Express Withdrawal method. Our record shows that it has been processed on April 15. Please be advised that once we have processed your withdrawal, you need to wait another 3-5 business days for the funds to reflect in your account. Kindly wait until April 23. In case the funds have not reflected by then, we can help you locate your funds by sending us a copy of your recent bank statement (dated April 15 to April 23) showing your account name, account number, and that no funds came to your account on the date it’s supposed to be posted. We’ll then be able to provide you with the reference number.
